Joy Banner

Today I’m going to show you a quick way to make a pretty “Joy” banner that can be used for a Christmas ornament or home décor. I used a simple “dip method” with Splash Inks!

Supplies:

Begin by mixing up a red and green using the Niji Splash Inks.

Wet the canvas banner pieces until they are soaked through. Squeeze out excess water.

Grab one canvas banner piece, and dip it into one of the colors. Continue dipping, going between the colors, until the banner piece is completely colored. Do this to all the banners.

Allow the canvas pieces to dry, and this will take time. Once completely finished, glue the pieces on top of ribbon and add the stickers to spell “Joy.” You could make any word you like using this method too, just make as many banner pieces as you need. This could be a Christmas ornament, or go on a special gift as décor.

  1. This is so pretty. I really love how the red and green look on the burlap–they didn’t blend together into brown, but maintained really bright and vibrant color. Great banner!

  2. Thanks Genie! These splash inks really rock on fabrics!
